Chinese New Year 2024 Drop - The Petal Skirt
This project is from late November to early December 2023. I was freelancing as a Garment Designer for Love Permit - a local Bangkok Brand inspired by the metaverse, local pop-culture influences, and Asian-Chinese cultural motifs.
I was given a garment concept to develop for the Chinese New Year Collection.
The concept given with the initial skirt design drawing was "flower petals".
Fabric changes or small detailings can be easily made on this pattern to change the style of the wearer from 'sweet' to 'spicy' reflecting the brand's multifaceted and vivacious personality.

I was responsible for the collection's skirt pattern development. This process includes original skirt pattern drafting, the toile fabric mock-up, size gradings (S, M, L), and the real fabric mock test.
